  • Tara works with many women and their partners helping them with the emotions of a difficult perinatal experience. Did you know that Birth Trauma is one of the leading causes of perinatal mental illness? It doesn't matter how this looks for you. If it still affects you now, it's never too late to try and lift the overwhelming and emotional symptoms that can remain after a difficult experience. 3 step is facilitated over 3 sessions and can be done in person or over zoom.

  • Maternal Journal is an inclusive project that welcomes all women and m/others who are either currently pregnant or have given birth in the last few years (babies up to one year old are welcome with you).

It is a fun and supportive way to record the mundane and the magic, while making a positive difference to mental health and well-being. You can share experiences, build friendships, have valuable time to connect with your baby, support each other and take time to actually explore how you are really feeling through creativity.

    What to Expect:

The group will be FREE and facilitated in person by Tara who is a perinatal mental health specialist and member of Doulas of Northern Ireland. The sessions will be funded by The Doulas of Northern Ireland who will provide all materials and refreshments.

You will need to be available for all dates, no prior experience is needed, and all are welcome.

Each group becomes a mini support system. Kindness, friendship and support is at the heart of it, we will show up for each other through this mammoth journey of m/otherhood, each week being different, some harder than others. Expect laughter, tears and nappy changes, and a good dose of creativity.

What a beautiful way to take a breath mid week.
